Located in Pocatello, Idaho, Steel West is a second generation steel fabricator that has been serving the region for over 50 years.  The corporation was founded in October of 1970 by Carl Hoehner and Douglas Collins who had previously worked in the steel fabrication industry as chief estimator and purchasing agent at Gate City Steel.  In 1977, following the death of Mr. Collins, Carl became the sole owner and ran the business for 30 years until retirement.  In 1999, his oldest son Mike, who had worked in the business for a number of years, became President.
